Nursery / A-Wing Renovation is moving along again and we need your help! Please join us for any or all of these work times this week: Tuesday, Aug. 3, and Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.; Thursday, August 5, Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 from 9:00-12:00 noon. Please contact Beth Dauer or Kristin if you have any questions.

New Nursery “Shower.” Upon completion of the nursery renovation, we’re going to host a come-and-go shower for all church members. We want everyone to have an
opportunity to see the new area. The shower date is
tentatively set for Sunday, Aug. 22, 2:00-4:00 p.m. There’s a registry set up at Target, where you can
purchase gifts for the new area. (First name is “Nursery” and last name is “First Baptist Church.”)

MUSIC & WORSHIP MINISTRY
Celebration Choir rehearsals will begin on Aug. 11 from 6:15 – 7:45 pm in the choir suite located on the second floor just behind the sanctuary choir loft.

Singin’ Saints rehearsal will resume August 18 in the Adult 1 classroom from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. If you are a senior adult and would like to join our group, we would love to have you with us. We sing frequently at nursing homes and assisted living centers in and around the Lake Jackson area. Make plans to join us!

STUDENT MINISTRY (Grades 7-12)
Calling All Carpenters! Beginning the first week of August, we’ll begin reconstructing our new, improved FUEL stage on the 3rd floor. We’ll be working a few weeknights and maybe a Saturday (TBA). Interested parents and students, please let Brad know of your
willingness to help. Times/dates will be announced soon.

Sunday School Fellowships. Don’t forget to check with your Sunday School class to find out about your next fellowship. Several events are coming soon during the summer months.

CHILDREN & PRESCHOOL MINISTRY
KidzCity Children’s Church Planning Meeting will be THIS Wednesday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m. in Club 56 for anyone interested in serving this school year.

Preschool Play Days are almost over! We have two more, August 5 & 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. On August 12 Debbie Damron will lead the moms in a fun “Scrapbooking Class” while some of our teenage girls play with the kids. Please call the childhood office if you plan to come either days.

Upward Basketball planning is underway and we NEED your help! There are many areas that you can serve besides coaching. There will be a church-wide interest meeting on Sunday, August 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the Adult I classroom. Please make plans to attend to see how you can be involved in this HUGE outreach and ministry of our church.

Honor or Remember Someone Special by having a mural painted for them in the children’s area. There’s an account set up in the Financial Office for donations. You can talk to Kristin Walker about the content of the mural.

SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
Senior Adults meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for prayer, Bible study and fellowship.

Keenagers will meet Monday, Aug. 2, in the FLC Parlor.
