Announcements below are as printed in the upcoming Sunday's church bulletin:

FROM THE PASTOR
40-Day Challenge. The “Follow Me” emphasis that will help prepare our hearts for Easter began Wed., March 12. There are many ways your family can participate in this challenge, such as attending worship services and Holy Week activities, having daily devotionals (guides available online and in the Welcome Center), and fasting. Please visit the “Follow Me” page on our website for more information, including devotional guidelines, sermon topics and more.
 
Holy Week Family Devos. During Holy Week we wanted to help families spend time together in experiencing the Messiah in their lives. Devotional booklets will be available at the welcome center and at the picnic on Palm Sunday. 
 
GENERAL INTEREST
Palm Sunday Picnic. Our annual Palm Sunday Picnic will be held on Sun., April 13, immediately following the morning worship at MacLean Park. The church is providing BBQ sandwiches, beverages and paper goods.  The congregation provides:
Last Names A-D:  Salads (Potato and other)
Last Names E-H:  Beans
Last Names I-L:  Chips
Last Names M-Z:  Desserts
Activities for all ages!  Crafts, Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Scavenger Hunt, Inflatables, Games (bring your own dominos, washers, Frisbees, footballs, etc.), Family Photo Booth (bring your own camera or phone).  There will be no evening service or activities at the church.
 
Easter Lilies are available for you to purchase in honor/memory of a loved one. These lilies will be used in the Worship Center from Palm Sunday until Easter Sunday. If you are interested in ordering one or more of these Easter Lilies, please complete the insert included in the bulletin and return it to the office with your check by Tues., April 8.  The Easter Lilies are $15 each.

New Church Directories. The directories have arrived and are available in the church office. For those who had their picture made for the directory, you will receive one complimentary copy of the directory. If you did not have your picture taken for the directory, you can purchase one directory for $8, while supplies last. 

ADULT MUSIC MINISTRY
Celebration Choir. Celebration Choir rehearses on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room (C-2201).  Join us for a great time of singing praises and wonderful fellowship.
 
ADULT MINISTRY
Faithfully Fit. Join us Tuesdays, 5:30-7:00 p.m. in C-1139. This is an excellent way to help with your goal of having a healthier lifestyle.
 
CHILDREN’S MUSIC

Children’s Choirs. Extreme Praise (Grades 1-6) and Basic Praise (4-5 Year Olds) meet on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Extreme Praise meets in C-2212 and Basic Praise meets in B-1313.
 
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Immediate Needs In Preschool/Children’s Ministry. If you would like more information about the many needs in children's ministry, please contact Kelly Alexander 903-522-1315 or Darren Ingram 936-714-8917.
 
KidzCity, TODAY,  April 6. Our monthly worship service for children K-6th held the first Sunday of each month. Children begin with their parents in the morning worship service and will be dismissed to the 3rd Floor Youth Area with our FBCLJ KidzCity Ministry Team.
 
Kamp KHAOS. Parents of children going into 4th-7th  grade, mark your calendars for June 16-18 for Kamp KHAOS. If you would like more information about Kamp Khaos, this year’s theme and daily schedule, go to www.kampkhaos.com. Registration will start soon!
 
STUDENTS (GRADES 7-12)
Youth Garage Sale Fundraiser
. The youth will be having a garage sale fundraiser starting Fri., May 9 through Sat., May 10. If you have items that you wish to donate, you can bring them by to the FLC game room.  Please call Cody or Sally if you have any questions regarding the garage sale.
 
Student Life Group meets Sunday evenings 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the home of Rob and Michelle Lowe, 310 Rosemary Lane.  Transportation is available to and from the church departing at 5:45 p.m. 
 
The Anchor.
Students join us on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. on the third floor for lots of fun, fellowship and Bible study! Come and bring a friend!
 
Student Life Camp. Our youth will be attending Student Life Camp Mon., July 21 through Fri., July 25. We will be going to University of North Texas in Denton. Cost is $280 per person. Registration is underway!
 
Youth Mission Trip. Students, mark your calendars for Wed., June 11 - Sun., June 22.  We will be going on a mission trip to Spearfish, South Dakota. The cost for the trip will be $345. More information will be forthcoming so watch the bulletin and the youth newsletter.
 
COLLEGE & CAREER (Ages 18-25)
Bible Study and Fellowship. We have started a new Ministry led by Cody.  Part of this ministry is a Tuesday night Bible Study and fellowship beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Pastor Chad’s house, 216 Fawn Trail. Contact Cody if you have any questions or need directions to Pastor Chad’s house.
 
UPWARD SPORTS MINISTRY
Mega Sports Camp hosted by Upward Sports! We will be hosting our first ever Multi-Sports Camp that will include basketball, flag football, soccer, cheerleading and more! Monday June 23 through Thursday June 26. Free registration begins May 1 at www.fbclj.org!
 
Upward Flag Football and Cheer registration for the Fall 2014 season begins May 1! Practices begin in September with games running through October.
 
WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Sewing Classes. Please join us on Thursdays at  9:00 a.m. in the FLC Craft Room as we continue to work on our “bear” project. Please contact Patti Huffines or Bobbie Kidwell if you have questions.
 
SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY
Keenagers will meet Mon., April 7, in the FLC Parlor.  At 9:30 a.m. for Games; 11:30 a.m. for Bible study; and at 12:00 noon for a Covered Dish Luncheon.
