Seminar sessions include “Facing Your Anger,” “Facing Your Loneliness,” “Depression,” “New Relationships,” “Kid Care,” and “Forgiveness.” DivorceCare recovery support groups meet each Tuesday in the A-Wing of FBCLJ. Signs will guide visitors as they enter the main entrance off of Yaupon St. Childcare is provided for Grade 1 and under. There is no cost for participating in DivorceCare.
DivorceCare for Kids is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At our weekly DC4K group, kids make friends who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents. Our DC4K group meets weekly in 13-week cycles. We combine games, crafts, activities, music and videos to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. They look forward to each time their DC4K “family” gets together. DC4K (ages 5-12) will also be offered at the above location and times. The children’s groups will be closely age-graded.
