Brad Dawson
Brad joined FBC in May 2001. He and his wife, Kelly, are graduates of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Brad graduated with a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences with a minor in Computer Science while Kelly double-majored in Computer Science and Business. Brad has also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and plans on continuing his studies at the Houston branch. Both Brad and Kelly worked as computer programmers for Lufkin Industries in Lufkin, Texas for several years prior to Brad's call into the ministry. Brad and Kelly have three beautiful children, Gabriel, born 1995, Madeline, born 1997, and Mackenzie, born 2006.
Prior to coming to Lake Jackson, Brad served at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas for almost 4 years. He worked for Lufkin Industries for over six years as a computer programmer.
Brad is originally from Atlanta, Texas where he lived from 1972 until he left for college in 1987. His parents still reside in Atlanta.
"I love students...period! I truly seek to see students have a REAL relationship with Jesus. I fear many teens are viewing God as some sort of mystical cowboy, legend, or an unapproachable being. I desire to see students fall deeply in love with Christ."
In his leisure time, Brad enjoys a good game of basketball or tennis. He loves sports memorabilia, collecting sports cards and figurines. He's a sports nut! He especially enjoys being with his family! Brad's family enjoys bike-riding, swimming, snow skiing, and attending every single Texas Rangers opening day game in Arlington, Texas. They've never missed since a couple of years prior to the birth of their children!

Favorite TV Show: Hannah Montana! and Dancing with the Stars! Watch them with my kids!
Favorite Star Athlete: Kurt Warner
Favorite Food: A plate of pepper steak, zipper peas, new potatoes with Lawry's Season Salt and a roll! YUMMY!
Favorite Practical Joke: Love running into opening doors! It gets them every time! Just ask our staff!
Favorite thing that students say: "It's Hugtime!"
Least favorite thing that students say: When asked, "What did you do this weekend?", they always reply, "Nuthin'".
Our New Blessing
Mackenzie Grace Dawson
Our new blessing is Mackenzie Grace Dawson born on Wednesday November 8, 2006 at 6:13 p.m. at the Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston. She was 7lbs 6 oz. and 19.5" long.
