Our Purpose Statement
We exist to develop students who:
Read and Respond to God's Word
Enjoy Church and Christian Fellowship
Acknowledge God in Prayer, Praise and Ministry
Lead Others to Christ

(see below for a breakdown of these purposes)

READ AND RESPOND TO GOD'S WORD (Discipleship Ministries)

about us
  • Every Sunday Morning at 9:00 a.m.
  • One of the best places to meet students your age and loads of fun!
  • Fun and in-depth study of God's Word.
  • Our goal - students knowing the truth, knowing what they believe, knowing how to study the Bible, and exhibiting life-change.
  • Teaching and training for living a committed Christian lifestyle.

about us
  • Small group Bible studies on Wednesday nights 6:30-7:45 p.m. as a part of our FUEL mid-week services.
  • Accompanied by student-led worship and group icebreakers.
  • Student Leaders teaching fellow students topical lessons each week.
  • An emphasis on indepth study of God's Word.
  • Giving our students the responsibility of ministering to one another. Students leading students!

ENJOY CHURCH AND CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (Fellowship Ministries)

about us
  • Sunday nights are the place to be for fellowship! Following a corporate intergenerational worship service at 6:00 p.m. led by students and the youth pastor, fun fellowships take place regularly after most evening worship services.
  • Our Sunday School classes spend lots of time together in class fellowships throughout the year where students can hang out with students their own age.
  • Don't forget about the concerts, lock-ins, summer trips, and special activities for the whole youth group all throughout the school year.
  • Designed to help attract friends to church while offering potential outreach opportunities to those who don't know Christ.

ACKNOWLEDGE GOD IN PRAYER, PRAISE AND MINISTRY (Worship and Service Ministries)
about us
  • Our students are directly involved in the areas of prayer and praise as they are entrusted with the responsibility of leading worship, leading prayer, reading scripture, greeting and drama in two weekly services at FBC - the youth FUEL mid-week services and the corporate worship service on Sunday nights.
  • "One Voice" is the name given to this huge team of students who together form our worship leadership - instrumentalists, vocalists, techies, speakers, prayers, and greeters. There is a place for your student in "One Voice".

YOU ARE HOLY SONG
about us
  • Meaningful and challenging Mission trips each summer. Our mission trips are not for wimps! We truly seek to encourage and work just as Jesus did.
  • Mission endeavors that teach students the importance of living the life of a servant. We work to insure our youth ministry stays focused on missions and ministry.

about us
Leadership Training
  • From worship services to teaching responsibilties to service project, our students are mentored to be future leaders. Students at FBC are not allowed to become stinky, moldy sponges that simply soak up ministry around them. Instead we wring them out - encourage them to minister to others themselves! They are mentored to give of themselves and become a vital part of the ministries at FBC.

LEAD OTHERS TO CHRIST (Evangelism Ministries)
Fuel

Fuel
  • As a part of our Wednesday night FUEL program, students are guided to participate in weekly visitation. Students accompany Sunday School teachers as they make contacts with visiting or missing students. Along the way, they have opportunities to share their faith.
  • From FUEL services to our Sunday Night Worship, the goal is presenting the gospel to as many students as possible. Invitations are given in our weekly services to invite students to know Christ personally.

hopeline
What is Hopeline?
The Hopeline is a call-in, Christian "help line" for youth nationwide. It was "started" by Dawson McAllister in 1991 as a way to reach more teenagers for Christ. It is staffed by trained volunteers who give spiritual insight to teens. Through careful listening and biblical encouragement, hurting teenagers receive God’s solutions to their problems.
