MORE PICS AND TRIP DIARY COMING SOON!!!
Our youth group traveled to New York City July 15-22, 2006 for a tremendous week of ministry. Our students and sponsors hosted Upward Basketball Camps on Staten Island and painted the inside of two public schools in the same area.
Teaming up with NAMB, Upward International, and the NY Metro Baptist Association, our team played a big part in an initiative called New Hope New York. This effort strives to establish relationships between neighborhood families and the local church. By teaching free basketball clinics and painting schools, our students and adults forged lasting ministry bonds. Partnering with Crossroads Church and Pastor Ray Parascando, we shared the hope we have in Jesus with children and their families.
Some of the highlights of the trip included:
- Two teams teaching basketball skills at 5-day camp
- One team painting local schools
