THIS YEAR'S AWESOME REVIEW VIDEO!

THIS YEAR'S SCAVENGER HUNT VIDEOS!

WHAT IS DISCIPLE NOW?
“Disciple Now” at First Baptist Church Lake Jackson is a place where the lives of students can be dramatically impacted through intensive study and instruction of God’s Word and through the accountability of Christian peers. The weekend is packed with rich teaching of scripture. Its motive is to present practical tools necessary to live a Godly life.

Dynamic youth leaders from across the state are invited in for the weekend, each one leading a group of 6-10 students at a host home. Students are divided into groups by age and gender (all grades separate boys and girls in different homes) so that the leaders may specifically address the issues that affect that group. Each group stays together for the entire weekend but also participates in group activities with all the participants. The leaders will be presenting a series of Bible study sessions. The students follow along in their own personal study manuals where they can take notes and record passages. Our intent is to be focused on God through prayer, reading of the Word, hanging with friends and worshipping together!

This year we ask the question: What happens when I understand the importance of God’s Word? By taking a look at King Josiah’s life, students will be challenged to discover how red letters (words spoken by Jesus printed in the New Testament) and all of God’s Word can revolutionize their life. Clear instruction will be given on how to effectively study God’s Word.

hopeline
What is Hopeline?
The Hopeline is a call-in, Christian "help line" for youth nationwide. It was "started" by Dawson McAllister in 1991 as a way to reach more teenagers for Christ. It is staffed by trained volunteers who give spiritual insight to teens. Through careful listening and biblical encouragement, hurting teenagers receive God’s solutions to their problems.
